1. Introduction
People are dying, people are suffering, begging for help, and much of the world seems to be tone deaf. There is still no solution in sight and it has been this way for hundreds of years.
For all modern man’s significant technological and AI advancement, the one disease which is as old as prostitution, continues to kill, wreck and ruin mankind unabated. To-day, poverty is still sucking the life out of humanity with no end in sight.
And it has been doing so for century after century after interminable century.
Until now.
“We are going to fight poverty” is nothing more than drivel, a display of ignorance. Yet it is the popular line touted by many a public office bearer, trying to impress the innocent, unsuspecting masses in our beautiful country.
Teaching people how to plant vegetables and sew is good. It might be a remedy for hunger at some stage. It does not eradicate poverty. Never did: never will. People want to know how to get rich and become independent. Not how to survive and remain dependent.
To date, no country in the world has a clear-cut plan, a proven, programme for the permanent eradication of poverty.
Again… until now.
As a South African first, we are about to launch such a project. It is big, it is bold and it guarantees the success of eradicating poverty permanently. It is built on unfailing Universal Principles. It is built and based completely on Universal Law.

IN BRIEF:
The entire RAA programme in one sentence:
RAA is a programme of training trainers to train the masses to replace a mindset of hopelessness, poverty and lack, with the self-confidence of a Mental Equivalent of Independence, Prosperity and Abundance.
The Real African Awakening, RAA, is an easy-to-understand life-changing project. It is based on specific Life Skills training designed to replace the blockage of ignorance with the Light of Empowerment and Realization.
Basic Requirements for Success:
#1: Candidates must be able to read and write.
#2: They must be willing to change. There are people who would rather prefer to stay as they are, and this preference has to be respected, and it is.
#3: Candidates must be willing to put in the Total Effort and follow all guidance as specified. There is no imposition of any dogma or creed.
At this stage it is only available in English. Other languages such as Afrikaans and Zulu will be online shortly, to be followed by more as the project unfolds into other countries and cultures.
It is the only project of its kind in the world. If there was a solution, it would be widely published on the worldwide web. Yet the internet shows nothing to solve this most vicious disease of all time.
2. The Objective / Goal
The Complete And Permanent Eradication Of Poverty.
However, to make poverty-eradication the focus of this project would be self-defeating and counter-productive.
To change a habit — and poverty is a mental illness which has become a generally accepted habit — you do not focus on the habit. All focus has to be on that which is wanted, not on denial of what is not.

3. Background Basics
1. Poverty has killed more people and wrecked more lives than all the wars and sicknesses in the world combined since the dawn of mankind.
2. This mental disease has, in many cases been accepted and entrenched as a way of life. Understanding is needed. You do not fight a disease; you cure it and you do so in a very specific way.
3. You do not ‘fight’ or resist it, for ‘what you resist will persist.’ ‘What you magnify you multiply.‘ Poverty does not have a mind. It cannot think; it has no power. Man takes from his Power, gives it to poverty, then scares himself into mental paralysis with it. Harsh, but true.
4. The only way to cure a mental disease is through the correct, specifically designed, caring treatment of training the mind to think differently.
5. Such training must follow specific guidelines. One of the main ones being an awareness of the fact that many of the candidates would be slow learners and allowance has to be made to cater for them.
6. Real Training is not a ‘putting-in,’ but rather, a ‘drawing out’ — the knowledge, the awareness and realization which is already there. It is a process of encouraging the candidate to realize and accept that they have everything that they need within them already.
7. Real Training… is the assertion of discipline, accurately balanced with the sensitivity required to have the candidate appreciate and willingly embrace both.
8. THE REAL AFRICAN AWAKENING (RAA) is that treatment, the only programme of its kind with a practical and proven solution and positive track record of poverty eradication in the world.
9. Because we are dealing with the life and future of a candidate… his/her very soul, each of the requirements listed above is crucial. He or she who qualifies as a Facilitator of this programme, bears the major responsibility of having to embody and deliver on all of the qualities required. Hence the reason why the benchmark for qualifying as a Facilitator is set so high… a passmark of 85% in both theory and practice. Even then, performance and results are constantly monitored.
Understanding these requirements should make it obvious as to why a programme of this nature can only succeed if based completely on Universal Law… Truth.
Man spends billions of dollars walking around on the moon, exploring distant planets, developing mass-destruction nuclear weaponry — which will inevitably be detonated sometime, somewhere by some ego-driven fool — but he cannot solve this most dreaded disease here at home. Insane!
This programme is the only known programme that deals with the cause of the problem. There may be others, but none can go deeper than dealing with the cause.
No solution can do better than being based on Universal Law, on Truth. This is the very foundation of RAA and UN has already expressed their interest in it.
4. A South African Initiative
A YOUTH INITIATIVE
As it was with initiating the pace of change where the youth led in 1976, and later with the Mandela era and the abolition of apartheid, this again is a-once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for South Africa to take its rightful place on centre-stage.
With this project, we set the benchmark for the world with trained and rightly empowered youth to lead.
It is worth noting that…
No First World country has a proven plan to eradicate poverty. In RAA, we have.
No First World country will solve our problems, so we’ll solve them ourselves. Of course we can!
No country in the world is better positioned Spiritually, mentally and physically to bring this solution to mankind than South Africa. Fiat lux!

5. R.A.A. Basics
This programme operates to a specifically designed system which has been tested and proven over years to be successful.
Matured women, men and youth, have come through some of life’s greatest challenges and risen to the top in their chosen field, having done “Total Power” Empowerment. (Then known as TPM – “Total Power” Motivation).
THE PROCESS
Teams of recruits are put through a rigorous training programme to meet the demanding standards as presenters in order to qualify as Facilitators.
Trainee Facilitators are deployed in teams into the communities under supervision to train the masses.
To qualify as a Facilitator requires an 85% success rate in both theory and practice. Consistent positive results and measured and monitored field performance are the exams. Results determine duration to qualification.
A Certified Facilitator is one who has been tested and proven to be qualified as a true presenter, a leader of people according to ECTNI standards.
Certified Facilitators then train more Trainee Facilitators and more Qualified Facilitators train more people in more communities etc. and the programme becomes a self-propelling project.
6. Modi Operandi
TRAINING THE TRAINERS – (Mainly youth, and women)
Subject to a strict selection process, mainly youth and women are put through an exacting training programme being trained to train the masses.
Requirements for qualification are very specific.
Among the requirements are the right attitude, specifically a mindset of genuinely wanting to help others, a high level of self-discipline, both mental and physical, and a strong work ethic. The right ‘heart-set’ first; the right mindset second.
A 9-week intensive programme to train trainees is to be implemented. This also serves as a further screening and selection process to find the right calibre of youth, women and men to become Facilitators.
The training programme consists of three courses, the first two run concurrently, viz.
- 1.“Total Power” Empowerment
- 2. “Total Power” Public Speaking (which includes Human Relations and Presentation skills).
- 3.“Total Power” Poverty to Prosperity follows after the first nine weeks on Saturday mornings.
Only totally serious participants are considered.
Those who qualify as Trainees with the requisite 85%, are formed into small teams and deployed into communities to train the masses on a trial basis for practice and experience. Certification as Facilitators follows later.
Any extras are utilized to train more Trainees… to train Trainees etc. Training, like learning, is ongoing.
TRAINING THE MASSES
This practical and easy-to-understand training project, based on age-old Universal Law and Principles that have never failed, is the total solution. The sun never fails to rise… air never fails to provide life-sustaining energy… Universal Law never fails.
2 x 9-week courses, run sequentially, which involves both theory and active practice, form the basic, mandatory training of the programme for the people…
- “Total Power” Empowerment*…(Lays the foundation for a new and receptive way of living a positive life) and
2. “Total Power” Poverty to Prosperity*… (money matters dealt with in theory and practice, realistically and positively). The start of the journey to a prosperity consciousness

3.“Total Power” Fulfillment*… is optional, due to its Spiritual content, out of respect. We will not impose… ever!
A Support Service… for advice, guidance and customization of the programme, valued at R3,600.00 for 12 months is available free.
7. Benefits
MAJOR UNSEEN BENEFITS
The major, and more meaningful benefits of The Real African Awakening (RAA) are found in the realization that ‘everything seen, without exception, comes from the Unseen.’
- To have the right Effect, create the right Cause. All wishing, hoping and praying, count for nothing unless we first comply with this Universal Law. It is how to get answers, fast.
2. The 40-odd years of suffering under apartheid by the masses can be used as a most powerful, positive, motivating factor to drive us to heights we’ve not even dreamed of before. Emotion is powerful energy that simply needs the right channeling. All that’s needed is the right state of mind. Unless we do this, what have we achieved from all the suffering and degradation? But most people do not see this truly massive opportunity… the benefit of apartheid.
3. To give the people dignity, independence and self-respect, you do not give them houses and hand-outs. That simply keeps them de-pendent, lame and lazy. You train them to think for themselves, how to work on their minds, develop strong principles and values, and how to become independent. There is NO ALTERNATIVE!
At the time of this writing, March 2024, there is no known and concerted programme that does ANY OF THE ABOVE!
RAA is based on this simple and guaranteed Principle. Right Cause equals Right Effect/Result. It’s Universal Law.
By sowing of the right (unseen) seeds of stronger moral values such as ethics, integrity, right thinking and right living among the masses in training, the right results must follow. This is crucial for passing-on a richer legacy to future generations.
RAA shamelessly uses poverty-eradication training to drive home the vital need for absolute probity, dignity, virtue and honour in daily life, filling a massive void, a crucially important unaddressed gap in our current education system.
The benefits of this alone cannot be quantified or measured in money. That, is priceless. The rot of negativity in our society runs deep, very deep.
Blaming apartheid for the ills of to-day — e.g. for a building burning down in the heart of Johannesburg, 30 years after its eradication from the rule book — is nothing more than a classical display of ignorance… no, it is not ignorance. It is crass stupidity.
The sadness is that when sprouted by politicians who cannot think, many in the unthinking masses believe it, which further deprives them of the independence and freedom they so desperately want and deserve.
Corruption and crime seem to rule, without a solution in sight. Beyond an obvious and pervasive, low moral value system, the root cause is ignorance.
Putting a criminal into our already overcrowded prisons — though necessary at the moment — is not the long-term answer. When he comes out of prison he’s still ignorant, and there is no other known training programme which addresses this vital need at its cause level.
You do not punish a mind into submission: you train, coach and coax it into acceptance (of a better system of values).
Where do the ignorant learn the basics of right living if their parents don’t know and the schools don’t teach it? That is how ignorance and low to no moral principles are perpetuated, and, unfortunately in our beautiful country, all too often, end up in government.
You do not cure ignorance by punishing an offender. You cure it by teaching him/her the right way to live at grass root level. Let’s get out of this antediluvian mindset. It may take generations, but it is the only sure way to go. To fix a problem, fix the cause, not the effect.
“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” is indisputable, sage advice. Its wisdom, however, lies in its application. RAA reaches into the depths of the mind.
That is where it implants the ‘transformation’ and teaches, gently coaxes and trains the application of both the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ to do it.
Then we walk with you all the way. Poverty-eradication is simply a tool being used in the greater scheme of things. Failure is not an option.
There may be a different plan… there is no better plan.

Almost of equal importance, Secondary Benefits are those that are physical, those that are seen. These would be the multiple benefits and opportunities, with further spin-off opportunities from the originals on an ongoing basis.

To achieve that, a new breed of leadership is imperative, the kind that values and has the proper ethics and principles of dignity and decency, self-respect, honour and virtues so earnestly needed and desired.

8. Sponsorship / Funding
Through EC Training Network International we will fund an initial Pilot Programme on a smaller start-up scale.
Then, with the results of that as current proof of the effectiveness of the programme, we will approach the larger companies to get involved. Sponsorship is needed to give it national momentum. With the right kind of long-term vision and sponsorship to drive it, success is inevitable.
Ultimately. international sponsors, including United Nations have to be solicited and acquired. Consideration should be given to each country driving its own campaign under a central point of guidance to ensure conformity to the original structure and principles.
9. Structure, Future & Close
STRUCTURE
Because of its anticipated growth, The Real African Awakening needs its own business vehicle. It has to be independent of EC Training Network International, with its own identity and website.
Therefore, a separate business structure, an NPO – Academy of Creative Empowerment (ACE) — is to be registered. The required, capable management teams could be constructed from within the existing ranks of the ECTNI staff. A Board of Directors will be formed to manage it.
EC Training Network International owns the registered copyright and the Intellectual Property on all “Total Power” training material.
ACE will lease the training material from ECTNI who owns the Intellectual Property.
FUTURE
1. “Make no little plans, for little plans have no magic to stir man’s blood.” David Burnham. Poverty is not a little disease, and The Real African Awakening is not a little plan or project;
2. It starts with a Pilot Project, and unfolds rapidly. After the Pilot Project, and the fine-tuning, the unfolding commences immediately.
Phase 1: Unfolds across all nine provinces in South Africa;
Phase 2: Expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa;
Phase 3: The Real Worldwide Awakening.
3. It is to be driven by a multi-national, specially selected and trained Management Board, with emphasis on the youth. The possibility of a Senior Board and a Junior Board will be considered.
The Junior Board is of vital importance, as the disease of poverty is to be eradicated at the earliest age. Far too many teenagers have the misperception of poverty being unbeatable at their age.
4. Long term sponsoring opportunities can be considered for partnering companies who have the vision to see this as an opportunity to enter new markets, or a powerful vehicle to use in extending their existing footprint.
5. The marketing activity plan for RAA is designed to be self-propagating.
6. The nature of man is such that there will always be a need for this project.
7. At the very least, this is an 18-year project.
8. UN has already expressed their interest in it and their goal is to eradicate poverty by 2030.
9. Without The Real Worldwide Awakening that will not happen.

The Pilot Programme Plan is ready.
The Business Plan is ready.
The only delay is for the funding from ECTNI to start the initial Pilot Programme, hence the reason for our controlled urgency.

Annexure
Despite the gall of disappointment in its corrupt and inept government South Africans are forced to accept at the moment, there is a strong undercurrent of determination, a resolute resolve to reinstall the natural pride and dignity we were privileged with during the magnificent Mandela era.
The truly magnificent South African spirit, forged by Nelson Mandela may have been shocked into silence when witnessing the full-scale corruption that tore through all levels of government from, and including the highest office in the land to the lowest, but it has not died.
At the time of this writing, early 2024, it is obvious that there are many, very many people in positions of control, who have low to no moral integrity. These have to be weeded out and replaced with those of impeccably solid moral standing and strong work ethics.
A culture of ‘it’s OK to steal’ seems to have pervaded most levels of government and many in industry and commerce. Possible persecution seems to have become a worthwhile risk. For that mindset to be rooted out and replaced, a long-term solution is needed.
RAA is that solution.
Moreover, it is the only guaranteed solution.
