I learned, with tears in my eyes that when a man is faced with a storm in life, he is coerced to dig deep into his soul and do a full introspection.

It is at that crucial moment where a decision one takes would have a huge impact on how life would eventually turn out. I decided on a much harder option of not giving up on myself, of not giving up on my dream, and of taking accountability for the conditions which I found myself in at the time.

The moment I made that decision, unknowingly, I spread the energy into the universe and a friend introduced me to this course that speaks of Laws (Universal laws), of Love, and it was mind boggling, as it spoke of Metaphysics to my tiny mind at the time.

Guess what, I have never been the same person since. Even today I’m inspired by the way TPM impacted me, the quality of the life I live today is evidence of the belief this magnificent course did for my life and the enthusiasm of constantly improving myself and those around me with these words deeply engraved in mind – “You Are Far Far Greater Than You Think You Are”.

After TPM, I grew to be a total different animal altogether. The belief on myself was restored, I was able to dream again, and was now approaching life with absolute enthusiasm and nothing would stop me.

All this is now my reality because through my exposure to TPM, I was able to dream and act with belief on achieving my dreams.

What Fires You Up? – A True Story

Some years ago, during the apartheid era, a young professional salesman resigned from his position as a Regional Manager with a certain book company due to an argument with the National Sales Manager, his boss. On the same day he quit he went and joined another company as an ordinary salesman.

At the interview on the 5^th of November, the owner of the company said, “I cannot pay you what you were earning as the Regional Manager.”

“It does not matter” he replied. “I am a salesman. I can sell.” The owner smiled and then said.

“What a pity you’re only joining us now” in a very condescending tone of voice. The young man felt his guts tighten at the tone. White people had that way about them of talking down to those who were not white.

“Why is it a pity” he asked. “Because” said the owner “there is a competition that started at the beginning of September and ends at the end of February next year and the prize is two air tickets Johannesburg – New York return for everyone who makes the required number of sales.

“And if I make the required sales?” asked the young man as the muscles in his neck went tense.

“Oh relax… you could never make it. Other agents who have been with the company for years are hard at it and remember the competition started at the beginning of September already.”

 His breathing became hard as he asked again, this time icily, “What if I make the required number of sales… sir?”

The company owner chuckled slightly as he said “It’s impossible. You do not know the product, you do not know the presentation, you do not have any prospects…”

Straining to keep his cool the words dripping with ice the young man interrupted “What if I make the sales?”

“Oh, then you get the two tickets of course, but…” “That is all I need to know! Good day… sir!” said the young man standing up abruptly. The owner smiled smugly as the young man left.

The same day the young man sold his almost new Ford Granada Ghia (6,000kms on the clock) and bought a motor cycle. His girlfriend thought he had lost it, but there was a fire blazing inside the man no one would have understood.

From that day on he studied the product and worked like a man possessed. He could not see anything else but two return air tickets JHB – New York. Going to America had been his dream all his life.

Don’t ever let anyone steal your dream. When you ‘go Inside’ and contact that Power there is in you, nothing can stop you. Did you get that? Nothing can stop you!

He worked day and night non-stop. He made sales almost daily, and even made a double on Christmas day. He did not make a sale on New Year’s Day because the customer had gone out.

He outsold the top salesman of the company who had been there for eight years and made the required number of sales 10 days before the end of February the following year.

To top it all, he was the only one of the 12 salespeople in the company who made it. He cried as he sat down on the plane to the international convention with his girlfriend, later to become his wife, by his side.

The group came back via South America. It was just before midnight, on Rio de Janeiro airport that he fired his boss, shortly before take-off . On arriving back in South Africa, he started his own business in the same field.

A year later he took his own group, representatives and other businesspeople to the same annual international convention in Dallas Texas, where he won a ‘Best-in-Class’ award.

Over the years, that humble start-up has evolved into the powerhouse it is to-day, specializing in training based on Universal Law. This account reflects how we started out in the Life Skills training field. The year was 1980, and this was written by that same young man.
